It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's....

Caleb was SUPERMAN for Halloween!
Here he is posing at the squadron Halloween party (the scarecrow is wearing a flight suit, if you can't tell. )
Caleb's little friend Gavin, who lives across the street, had the same costume-they make a great little duo. Here we are at "Spot 9"-the hangout at the squadron-having pizza and laughing at Caleb's antics.

And last but not least, guess what?
Caleb is WALKING!
Here's my attempt at getting a good video of his performance.

Caleb just being cute.

Caleb got his "alphabet train" for his birthday. It's definitely his favorite toy now! He pushes it all around the house and sometimes in the yard outside.

He'll be walking in no time with all that exercise!

Caleb loves books! (As you can tell from what I discovered after I realized it was getting just a little too quiet in the kitchen. :)

I just thought my boys were so cute before church today I had to take a picture!

Caleb loves music, and especially loves to 'dance' along to the tune!

Update after long absence!

Here are pictures taken here and there on our trip from Washington to Oklahoma!

Uncle Elden with Caleb on our stop in Utah.

Caleb played in a city water park in St. George.

Caleb is a little shy but warmed up to Tracy pretty quickly!

We had a fun day at "This is the Place" monument with Moma D, the Grays, and the grandmas.

Caleb got to ride on the mini train and enjoy the petting zoo!

Even a pony ride...

and a trolley ride!

Well, folks-we are here in Oklahoma and boy has it been a fun ride! Since our last post we've moved half way across the country, visited lots of family on the way, and moved into our new house! We love living on base-we have awesome neighbors and everything is super close. Caleb just had his first birthday on September 19th-so I made a Sunshine cake and we invited some friends over to share cake and ice cream with us. We lit one candle, sang happy birthday to Caleb, and then as we all looked expectantly at him he just burst into tears! It was just too much being in the spotlight, I guess. Anyway-his mood changed for the better moments later when he got his cake! As you can see he loved it. :)

Splish Splash I was takin' a bath...

Bathtime is Caleb's favorite! He just loves to splash and splash and splash, until he just about wears himself out.

Father's Day

We were lucky to have Daddy home for Father's Day-and we had a relaxing day with yummy food and my first attempt at a Bundt cake. It didn't look so good, but it tasted great! :) Here are my two favorite boys on their special day.
Caleb gets cuter by the day, of course, and I couldn't resist snapping a shot of his little bare bum after his bath. One of his latest tricks is pursing his lips-he loves exploring facial expressions!

His favorite one, though, is this wide grin. Doesn't it just make you want to giggle?

Every morning he greets me by peering through the slats of his crib and pushing down his crib bumper to play "peek-a-boo." We love giggling about it together.

And last, but not least-Caleb is finally starting to learn how to crawl! He can scoot backwards a little and take a couple of crawls forward. He doesn't get very far, but he's sure proud of himself!

Orcas Trip and my new favorite picture

Jeremy and I had an overnight getaway with three other couples on Orcas Island. It was the PERFECT weekend-gorgeous weather. We enjoyed the hour long ferry ride to get over there, and we all camped at Moran State park.
We set up camp right next to the lake-here's a view from our tent door.

We biked around the lake a bit and rented rowboats for a while on the lake. It was kinda romantic! After Dutch oven dinner we drove up Mt. Constitution to the summit to see an awe-
inspiring sunset. The view was amazing!

The moonlight on the lake by our camp was no less than picturesque.

The next morning we took a hike among REALLY old trees and ended at a pretty waterfall.

What a fun group!

Ok-and last but not least-my new favorite picture of Caleb, taken today!

Trip to California

Here's the newest mugshot of the little guy-you can see his two teeth! He has two coming in on the top too-I can hardly believe it!
Here's his newest cousin, Chloe-what a doll.

Caleb and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Santa Barbara to visit my sister and her new baby, Chloe. Plus we loved introducing Caleb to everyone for the first time and having four generations together.

Moma D (my maternal grandmother) was as energetic as ever-I'll never forget seeing her skip down the sidewalk with Sophie.

Caleb was fascinated by his new cousin and his other cousins couldn't get enough of him, constantly trying to feed him his bottle or give him a toy!

It was so fun to spend time with my three nephews and two nieces-I love them to bits, and we had a blast playing "Cities and Knights of Catan"-I think that's my new favorite game! We stayed for six days and I just loved the sunshine!
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms!

He's such a little boy now!

Our little Caleb is growing like a weed-it seems like he hardly wears his clothes and he's outgrown them! Every day it seems like he is doing something new-he's getting very good at sitting up on his own and has recently started blowing raspberries with a vengeance (with spit flying everywhere! :) We can't believe how old he looks-doesn't he look just like his dad? When Jeremy comes home every day he flashes the biggest grin you've ever seen-I think he's going to be a daddy's boy. He loves to look at Daddy's patches on his flight suit and grab at them, of course. I think he will start crawling soon-but for now he just rolls over just as soon as we put him on his belly. He's proud of his new skill!

We love the fuzzy hair he's growing-it just sticks straight up and it's adorable. We may have to cut his hair soon!
As for the grown-ups in the house-we're doing great-just getting geared up for our impending move-we're set to leave Washington in just 4 months-so we have a lot to do! We're glad for the longer days and the springtime weather that has been flirting with us after what felt like a very long winter.

New Pictures of Caleb!

Hello friends and family! Here are a few new pictures so you can see how much Caleb has grown! He is such a happy baby and loves to giggle, talk and smile all the time!

He always sleeps with his arms straight out now. Hilarious.

Updated photos

Well, here's an update! We can't believe it's almost February-time is flying by so quickly! It has been a great month-we all flew to Scott Air Force Base (in Illinois) for a week to attend "High Flight"-a program for Captains and their spouses. It was freezing cold, but we had a great time and learned a ton!

When we got back in town we got to go visit Grandpa Evans and Caleb put on a show talking and giggling and hamming it up for the camera!
Caleb's favorite activities are cooing and smiling at Mommy, giggling at one of his stuffed doggies, eating what seems like constantly, and sleeping. He's a great sleeper, and usually sleeps in the 'I surrender' pose!

He has the best Daddy, who gets such a kick out of his antics and we find ourselves laughing to tears all the time at Caleb's funny expressions. We feel like the luckiest parents in the world.
