Christmas begins!

Elden and Tracy (Rachel's brother and his wife) came for the Thanksgiving weekend! They loved meeting Caleb and provided an entire Thanksgiving dinner for Rachel's mom and grandmother, complete with the yummiest pumpkin cheesecake ever! We all went together to cut down a Christmas tree at the mountain creek Christmas tree farm where we have been going for 24 years!

We enjoyed going together to the Bellevue Botanical Gardens Garden D'Lights-it was a magnificent display of Christmas lights depicting plants and animals from around the world! It really helped me get in the Christmas spirit. The weekend was short but wonderful, and especially fun to have four generations together.

Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful trip to New Mexico to see the Williams side of the family. It was Caleb's first time on an airplane, and he did great! All of Jeremy's siblings, their spouses, and children were able to be there, so it was a wonderful occasion!

First we drove down to Carlsbad to the Farm to see Gaga and Papa. (Jeremy's paternal grandparents.) Gaga made us a grand slam breakfast and oohed and awed over little Caleb. We enjoyed our time there, albeit brief.

Then we met the rest of the family in Las Cruces for the big feast! The night before Thanksgiving we had a progressive dinner so we could see everyone's houses-I still think about Rachel and Anika's yummy salad. :) Carmelized almonds to die for.

Little Lilian, the only granddaughter so far-steals all our hearts!

We all had lots of fun together, in between cooking and taking care of children-we all laughed a lot and got caught up on each other's lives. We were excited to learn of two new babies who will be joining the family! Anita (Jeremy's sister) and Anika (sister in law) are both expecting!

"Mama" loved being with all her 8 grandbabies, and cousins and aunts and uncles got to know each other.

Papa was a proud patriarch of the whole brood.

Truly we all have so much to be thankful for.

First Smiles

Our little "squeaker" is 11 weeks old and continues to be such a joy! He will now readily smile and sometimes squeal with delight. He loves listening to music and hearing mommy sing him silly songs.

He loves looking at his mobile, and gets upset when it stops turning.

Seven weeks old tomorrow!

After a bath his hair sticks straight up. Hilarious. And he has a monster cowlick in the back that no amount of brushing will tame! Jeremy gave Caleb his blessing on Sunday Oct. 26th- it was wonderful having both sets of grandparents there.

He has just started smiling-it's still pretty hard to get on camera!
Here's a video of his "morning excercise routine." I think he wants to be like his dad, who gets up at 4:45 AM to go to the gym!

Five weeks old today!

Here are some updated photos of baby Caleb. I think he is looking more and more like his dad.
We just think he is the cutest thing in the world-and he is definitely a little bundle of joy!
Sleeping....

Sleeping again...

Yes, he does open his eyes! He loves to look around, and especially stare at lights. :)

He gets to play all day long with mommy. They are great buddies. :)

2 1/2 weeks old

He's still too small for some of his newborn clothes!
He's steadily gaining weight, though, so not for long!

He does this most of the day...little sleepyhead. :)

Here he is again at about a week old-he loves his "soothie."
As you can see he sleeps a lot! Mommy likes going on a walk everyday to get some fresh air-Caleb likes to go in his sling or a stroller and come along for the ride.

Caleb's Birthday!

Here they are-the much awaited pictures of our new little Caleb Thomas Williams! He was born Friday September 19 at 1:39 PM. He weighed 7 lbs 7 oz. and is 21 inches.

Here's the tired but happy mommy, after 3 hours of pushing-what a workout!

He has a full head of dark hair-and from what we can tell he definitely has mommy's ears. :)

Jeremy was an excellent labor coach and now a proud new father.

Snug as a bug in a rug! He loves to be swaddled tight.

Posted by PicasaHere he is-all ready to go home on Sunday afternoon. It is wonderful to be home!
Friends and family-we love you all. Thanks for your love and support. We feel so very blessed.

Waiting on Pins and Needles!

Well, I've been off work for 2 1/2 weeks now, and really enjoying the rest! It's amazing how fast the day goes by and how easy it is to waste it when I'm left to myself! The baby's room is all ready to go, and we're getting super excited for his birthday. It should be any day now!

Jeremy says it's like waiting for a Christmas present-and I agree-he will be quite a gift, and I can't wait to see his little face. Hopefully he'll look just like Jeremy. :) Fortunately I have finally stopped gaining weight (yay) and here's an update at 39 1/2 weeks. I don't even recognize that girl in the picture. :)
We'll be sure and post baby pictures as soon as we can!

Hi there everyone! This is my first attempt at "blogging," so here we go. I hope to keep everyone updated and keep better in touch!

We are very much looking forward to the arrival of our baby boy, who is growing strong and loves to tickle Mom in the ribs and wiggle around. Mom will work just for the next 4 weeks and then take a much needed break before the baby comes!

The pregnancy has gone well-no complications, and here we are at 33 1/2 weeks!

We continue to enjoy working around the house-Jeremy is a pro at keeping our grass the envy of the neighborhood, and I love taking care of my pots and flowerbeds of petunias and a few vegetables. (We have had homegrown lettuce for a few months, and our zucchini and summer squash are growing like crazy. We should get a good crop of tomatoes from our little bush, and it looks like maybe one pepper and one or two cucumbers! For a city girl that's quite an accomplishment. :)

The weather has been beautiful here-we never want the summer to end!
